Life as I know it includes the roles of wife, mom, educator, taxi driver, housekeeper, chef, personal shopper, friend, and the list just keeps growing. It's a job I thoroughly enjoy...on most days. Today being one of them. I look back and wonder "how did I get here and where has time gone?" Just yesterday I was 18 years old and entering college. Today I am 45 years old and a mother of two daughters, age 16 and 13 in 34 days, and a wife of 21 years. In just two years my oldest daughter will head off to college and my youngest daughter will be entering high school. In all of it I wonder, where is Kristie? Am I still the same person? Would I recognize her if I even saw her?
The answer is yes and a resounding no. I am no longer the youthful woman I used to be from the 90's, and to be honest that is not a bad thing. However, I do miss the girl who had the time and energy of that 1990 gal. She was unstoppable! On the inside I'm still the girl I used to be just tweaked. God has a way of tweaking us as we grow. I look forward to more tweaking...I definitely NEED it and NEED Him!!
